Yellow & Blue Sticky insect traps

Sticky traps are very effective tools in IPM strategy , against flying insect pests .
Many species of flying insects such as whiteflies , winged aphids , leafhoppers and psyllids are attracted to the yellow color , while thrips are attracted to blue colored traps .
Once they land on the sticky surface, they get trapped and are unable to fly.
These traps are usually used for insect population monitoring, but if installed in larger numbers, they can also help reduce insect population and lower the need for pesticides.
